A Panel Removal
The good news is new A panels are very cheap.
I am afraid i know of no way to remove it without cutting it off as it is crimped and (sometimes) spot welded around the hinge panel. The good news is new A panels are very cheap.
To remove it you need to take off the door and grind down the rear edge of the A panel untill you see 3 layers of panel and split the seam between the wing and A panel. The panel will then only be held at the top by a small run of weld to the door frame and a small weld to the trim flange at the bottom, grind off these and the A panel is off.
Make your repair to the inner wing/hinge panel, make the A panel mounting faces good and fit the one new one by clamping it in position to the wing flange and GENTLY crimp the rear edge of the A panel round the hinge panel.
When this is secure you can weld the wing/A panel seam, weldup the top bit on the door frame and bottom bit to the trim flange and that is it. Fill up and dings and crimp marks, paint, drive......
