what can I win while I'm there?

There will be prizes for the games, for the Minis and of course the raffle which will be drawn at 11am on Sunday 17th July.

Currently, the raffle prizes include:

  • One hundred of the Queen's finest Pound Sterling (courtesy of our sponsors, Cherished Vehicle Insurance)
Yes, proper real folding cash, for you to spend as you see fit (maybe even on your next insurance policy, your road tax, or some more beer on Sunday night)!
  • An original, licensed "Abbey Road" 3ft by 2ft black framed photographic poster (kindly donated by Bigscreencells.com)
This is one of the latest editions of the official licensed series of takes from The Beatles Abbey Road LP cover (only in this case it has a green Mini instead of the Beatles). Bigscreencells.com would normally sell a picture like this for around £60.00, and if you see them elsewhere (eBay for example), they might just be knock-offs...
  • A photograph of Sir Michael Caine, signed by his own fair hand.
The photo itself is taken from the Italian Job. This is not the typical publicity shot "signed" with a rubber stamp like you find on eBay, it's a one-off which is currently with Sir Michael's management company awaiting his personal signature...

(note: if Sir Michael can't sign the photo, or if it goes missing, we'll be getting something of equal value for this prize and taking his management company off our Christmas card list.)

(note: Sir Michael's photo did go missing, but we've managed to source another - still signed by the man himself - and we have indeed now taken his management company off our Christmas card list. Full story here.)
  • A Mini buckle, belt and belt loop keyring (kindly donated by Bucklebox.co.uk)
As you can see here, this is a very nice buckle which comes with a belt - so you can wear it home after the event!
  • A £50 Mini Spares voucher (kindly donated by Mini Spares North)
This voucher can be used at Mini Spares North, Mini Spares Head Office or Mini Spares Midlands, or even online!
  • A reproduction 1960s Austin Mini advert (kindly donated by Stick It On Your Wall)
As seen here, a classic bit of Austin marketing to adorn any Mini owner's walls.
  • Technical portrait of 33 EJB (kindly created for SkegMiniFest by Graeme of Graeme's Car Portraits)
A fantastically detailed A3 portrait of the classic Monte Carlo winning car.
  • Technical portrait of BOA 430B (kindly created for SkegMiniFest by Graeme of Graeme's Car Portraits)
An A3 portrait in stunning detail of the 1964 Austin Minivan in Police livery, as featured in Heartbeat.
  • Technical portrait of LGW 809G (kindly created for SkegMiniFest by Graeme of Graeme's Car Portraits)
A superbly detailed A3 portrait of the blue 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S which got a bloomin' move on in the Italian Job.

  • Technical portrait of SLW 287R (kindly created for SkegMiniFest by Graeme of Graeme's Car Portraits)
What Mini event could be complete without the car driven by a man who doesn't say much, but really does know how to drive: Mr Bean's very own 1976 BL Mini!

Just the thing to have in the car if your heater matrix is playing up again!

If you want to win all three, you'll need 3 tickets and a lot of luck 8-)
  • A set of Union Jack wheel centre decals (kindly donated by Sticky Fingers)
As seen here, one for each corner...
  • A heater fascia decal (kindly donated by Sticky Fingers)
As seen here, this is the black, single speed version.

  • A copy of "Nodding Dogs &Vinyl Roofs (The weird world of quirky car accesories)" by Stephen Vokins (kindly donated by Haynes Publishing)
Do you remember matt black bonnets, air horns that played a tune and kits for powering windows? (if you own a Mini, you may still have one or more of those!)
Read Nodding Dogs & Vinyl Roofs and enjoy a good laugh but be forewarned, when the tiger tail craze returns (as it inevitably will) there'll be panic buying.
  • A variety of car cleaning materials (kindly donated by Turtle Wax UK)
This should be just the thing if your car's got a little mucky on the way to SkegMiniFest...
  • Three separate prizes of a £50 voucher (kindly donated by ABS Motorsport)
If you're thinking of buying some carbon fibre or GRP panels, this could be a handy prize for you.
